One electronically tested 14KT rose gold die struck & assembled antique locket with a hand engraved finish. The "Book" style locket pendant measures 22.9 mm X 17.25 mm. The locket has the hinge at the bottom edge with an applied counter loop and articulated bail on the top. The piece is Circa 1837-1901, the Victorian period, most likely the 1860's for the use of Rose gold. The stylized scroll work engraving is highlighted by 1/2 seed pearl, inset into the surface of the locket. Condition is excellent.
