A fabulous heart locket necklace from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! Crafted in sterling silver, this necklace features a large, central heart-shaped locket. The front and back surface of the locket are decorated with intricate floral, foliage, and scrolling-motifs etchings. The locket opens and closes with a secure latch at the side, and has room for storing two favorite photographs or small mementos. The locket also features a bail, which connects the piece to an accompanying festoon-style rolo chain. Four sterling silver balls decorate the festoon necklace, and further add to the unique appeal of the piece. The necklace secures with a barrel clasp, which is decorated with similar floral and scrolling-motif etchings. A substantial statement piece, this necklace would make a stylish addition to any collection!
Measurements:The locket hangs 1 3/8" long, (including the bail at the top) and has a width of 1 1/8". The chain measures 16" long.
